Seems like only yesterday that I reviewed PhotoAssist. In that review I basically asked for 3 features to make an already good app better and what do you know? I got my wish! PhotoAssist just got updated to 1.1 and adds the 3 things I wanted: Larger Check buttons (for my fingers), the ability to add to the inventory from a list of common camera gear without having to add everything in manually and an Uncheck All/Check All button. I also like the new color scheme which is easier on the eyes. Great job Brad!

You can get PhotoAssist here from the App Store:

The update seems (I don't remember the previous for sure, as it's no longer there :) to have added a field for brand/manufacturer in the Equipment data fields.  The problem is that using it causes the new entry with that data to sort out of sequence with all the data you previously laboriously entered by "pecking" on the little itouch/iphone keyboard.  So if you entered previously a "Nikon D300", and now create a "Nikon", "D900", it's not together with the earlier Nikons.  Having gone thru the unpleasant data entry process once for many items, I'm not about to go back and modify them all; will just ignore the new field.
Or, Terry, am I missing something here?

    Thanks,

    • Hi Rick,
I am the developer. You are correct in that the Manufacture field was not there in the first version. Right now, I think the solution you are doing (ignoring the field) is the what you will have to do if you want it sorted that way. I will see what i can do in a future version to help you with your problem. Maybe I can give you an optional setting to let you hide the field, or somehow change the sorting.  I will have to think about that, but I will keep the issue in mind.

I would like to see a quantity field. So if I add c-stands for instance or power packs I could put how many I need. Otherwise looks pretty good so far.
