That's right! We're trying to get the word out about BestAppSite.com and one way to do that is to give stuff away. So we're starting with a $50 iTunes Gift Certificate to one of our lucky readers.
How to Enter
Entering for the drawing is really easy! Just leave a comment below on this post. telling us your favorite iPhone/iPod touch app. That's all you have to do. The deadline to leave your comment is Sunday, January 17th, 2010 at 6PM EST (GMT-5) and we'll pick a winner from one of the comments based on a random draw. Each comment will be assigned a number. So if you're the first comment you'll be #1 and so forth and so on. We'll use the Random Number iPhone/iPod touch app to actually pick the number. The winner will be announced here on Monday, the 18th, 2010.

Q. What does my comment have to say?
A. Just tell us what your favorite iPhone/iPod touch app is. Something like "my favorite App is Learn the Adobe Creative Suite with Terry White".
Q. Does it have to be Terry's App?
A. Yes

A. No, just kidding. List whatever your favorite app is.
Q. I left a comment but I don't see it yet.
A. All first time commenters have to be approved manually and well that takes time. Be patient, unless you violated the "no nasty comment" rule, your comment will appear eventually.
Q. Do I have to use my real email address?
A. Yes, although no one else will see your email address but us, we do need the real one to email your certificate to. Before we purchase and email the certificate we will send a regular email to the winner to make sure the email address is valid.
Q. What will you do with the email addresses that are entered?
A. Absolutely nothing. We have no intention of emailing anyone at any time besides the winner. Nor will we give out your email address to anyone else.
Q. What if the winner never responds to the email?
A. We'll give the winner an ample amount of time (5 days) to respond to our email. If the winner doesn't respond in that time we will draw another winner.
Q. Do I have to use the Gift Certificate to buy apps?
A. Nope, you can use it to buy/rent anything you want in the iTunes Store.
Q. Do I have to have an iPhone or iPod touch to enter?
A. Nope, you just have to leave a comment below telling us (I guess what would be) your favorite app.

US ENTRIES ONLY! Unfortunately the iTunes gift certificates can only be used in the US store (which is where it will be purchased from). While anyone can enter and win, the certificate will only be valid in the US store. So keep that in mind if you live outside the US.
Lastly any whining of any kind is cause for immediate disqualification

AppVault Pro is hands down the best 99 cents I ever spent! It is 24 very useful apps in one, each of which could charge 99 cents individually. I originally found it when looking for a guitar tuner app but it is much more than that.
My favorite app is Red Laser. When you are shopping and wondering if what you see is a good price, you simply scan the bar code and it gives you basic web prices. This way you can decide if you want to buy the item now or save some mula and get it online.

My favourite app is the Units conversion app. I think mainly in Metric so it converts things from Imperial when I'm out and about. It converts currency when I'm travelling. Finally when I was given a weather station where the windspeed was given in meters per second – the official measuring scale – and not miles per hour as on the weather forecasts, it even had a conversion tool for that too. Brilliant! Bought on a Terry recommendation and love it!

There are so many great apps to choose from… however as I am limited to one, I'd have to say Apple's Keynote Remote… it has plenty of room for improvement, but I don't know how I ever conducted presentations without it.

I love mSecure for my password app (they now have a desktop version to sync to, it works GREAT!), obviously love Facebook; in the food category: Grocery IQ is THE BEST for shopping lists and I love Epicurious and Whole Foods for looking for recipes on-the-go; as for games, I'm fairly hooked right now on Bejeweled 2 (the Blitz version) and Words with Friends (free version). I know that's not just one app, but who can choose when there's so many great ones??

My most often used app is "Grocery Gadget". We can make a grocery shopping list on the iPhone or in one of our computers, since we started using it we hardly ever end up not buying what we need. The other feature I just love is the fact that we can take a photo of labels of our favorite products, to make sure we buy exactly the brand we like.

Choosing your favorite iPhone app is very difficult, particularly when you have
created an integrated workflow that utilizes a variety of apps. For example,
I recently used Dragon Dictation to dictate a report in passages as they occurred to me.
After creating a passage I would copy the passage, then open Pastebot, which would
automatically incorporate the copied passage. I could then simply press and hold the
clipping in Pastebot and it would automatically insert the passage into my word
document on my iMac or MacBook. Actually, that is how I wrote this comment.
Then there’s Tweetie 2, which I use several times each day, as well as Toodledo,
which I use every day for my to-do list. However, I think I’m going to have to pick
Wolfram Alpha, which allows me to
do everything from asking about the location of the international space station to
doing complex mathematical calculations, all in the same application.
Plus, it’s my most expensive app.

The IMDb app gives instant access to a ton of diverting information on films and television shows as well as local showtimes for current movies based on your location, quick links to episode details and recaps for U.S. TV shows, and many more goodies. Way too much fun.
Mine is the MLB app. Being able to listen to live games on the go last season was awesome.
"True HDR" is my favorite app. It does a pretty amazing job, and has really expanded the amount of photos I have been taking. They do need to allow you to export at full image size, but aside from that, very cool photo app.

my most useful app is CheckPlease, i check the Weather Channel every day first thing in the morning. to help build my vocabulary, i check Dictionary "word of the day" at 12 mid every day and use the app when writing papers or emails. for mindless fun, i click on Mouse About. NIV Bible saves me from carrying my heavy Bible to church.

Well, I got my iPod for Christmas and so far the app I’m using the most is Lose It! That’s because I have to log everything I eat. It’s a New Year’s resolution kind of thing. TweetDeck is a close second.
Facebook is definitely my favorite app. It's come along way since the first version and is still receiving some of the highest ratings in the app market!

My favorite App is mSecure. Without it I would never be able to remember logins, passwords, bank accounts or email settings. I refer to it constantly to retrieve data that I would otherwise forget. It supports a whole litany of information, but I mainly use it to remember login info.
I love my 99 cent Police Radio- you can listen to police radio feeds from all over the country, local, NYPD Special Ops, CHiPs!

I really liked this app so much .. it made my life easy when I'm in a class room .. doctor tend to explain the excercises and solve some HW questions on the white board .. all what I have to do is to take a picture of the white board .. no need to write down what ever the doctor wrote ! .. the app will do some enhancement to the picture "white balance" + "clearance" + "sharpness" then you will thought that you had a really scanned paper in your iphone !! its capability to convert the scanned images to JPG or PDF is incredible + sending it to your google docs account

First choice: I will go with Apple's Keynote Remote App. It's great for controlling my Apple Keynote presentations and see the actual image in front of me without having to turn around to view the screen.
BookZ app is a close second. A simple app that I use regularly for downloading books and other text to read on my iPodTouch.
