It's Friday, so it's that time again. Time to send you into your weekend with a game to play. Doodle Jump is a cute game that quickly becomes one that you'll want to play over and over again. The concept is simple. Using the built-in accelerometer in your iPhone/iPod touch you tilt your device side-to-side to navigate your jumping Doodle character from one platform to the next. Of course the higher you go the higher your score will go. As you might also expect the higher you go there will be objects to help you like propeller beanies and jet packs, as well as object to get in your way like monsters, fragile platforms and even alien ships to carry you away. If you get a really great score you can even share your score directly to Facebook or Twitter and challenge others to beat it via email too. To get a feel for the game check out this video:
The Bottom Line
Just buy it! It's good clean fun. It's a great time waster that doesn't require a lot of thought or strategy. I have to thank my daughter for turning me on this app
Doodle Jump
Doodle Jump is a game in which you navigate your character higher and higher by jumping from platform to platform. The higher you go the higher your score goes. Great game play and yes addictive.

Terry,
I like this new website. Keep up the good work of providing us with best reviews on the apps.
I have slightly different question on the video that you have for this review. What do you use to edit the video? I am trying to do dvd of still photos using iMovie and iDVD. It works great with single track of music with voice over. I would like to give my users option of selecting different background music. I know I can not do it in iMovie and iDVD 09. Is there any other application that will allow me to do it.
Thank you,
pk.
Thanks! I used Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. It’s on the high end compared to iMovie/iDVD. What you want to do could be done with a higher end DVD authoring app like Adobe Encore CS4 or even Apple’s DVD Studio Pro.
OMGosh. I downloaded this one and my son and I could not stop playing it. The tag line does not lie, it IS addicting! And so much fun. We were laughing our patooties off every time the little guy fell down.
