Everyone would agree that some days can be way more stressful than others and sometimes you just need to step back from the situation and chill. Clear your mind. Relax. That's what the Koi Pond App aims to help you with. When you launch the App it turns your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad into a small Koi Pond complete with Koi swimming about and relaxing sounds that you can control. You can just enjoy the show and clear your mind or you can interact with the Koi by using your finger. If you tap the water and make a splash they swim away. If you press and hold your finger in the water they will swim towards you. If you shake your iPhone you actually drop food down and they eat. Very cute.

Lots of options

You can get to the options by tapping the lower right corner of the screen. You can do just about everything including changing the background and volume of the various sounds. You can even sleep timer if you want to drift off to the sounds of the fish swimming about. I wish that I had more to say about this App but that's pretty much it. It does what it says.

You can get Koi Pond for $0.99 here from the App Store: Koi Pond

  1. Terry,

My wife has this on her iPhone and I gotta say it’s superb! Incredibly relaxing but also very addictive. Come to think of it after a ‘comment’ I received on the blog recently i might just install it myself now too…deep breath, count to 10..ok now I’m calm.

    Some people huh :)

    Cheers,
    Glyn

  2. Tap the News tab Koi Pond and you’ll find the same developers also created Elephant Odyssey. Elephants that interact with your touch rove through jungle, grassland and desert in 3-D with the profits going to the San Diego Zoo and elephant conservation.

It’s a very simple app, but I’ve had it for a long time and it’s one I’ll probably never remove. I don’t now why I like it, I just do, and so does my 10 year old son.
