When a flight gets cancelled, TripIt lets you know there is a problem: there is effectively a problem with the status.

However, when the flight stays the same but scheduled departure and arrival times change, it doesn't figure that out. I had an email from my airline saying the timings on my booking had changed. I keep checking TripIt--even the PC version--and keep asking to check it the interary is still ok (I've got Pro), but it still just gives me the thumbs up.

This COULD be a problem with the app and online site.

Dan, FlightTrack Pro and TripDeck should send you push notifications on changed flights, I have not had this happen to me so far though so I cannot say for sure. Maybe Terry has any experiences with this? Terry?

Do either of these Apps include notifying you when the airlines have changed the schedule on your already booked flights. Have this problem constantly with times being changed and therefore connections impossible to make.

Good article and thanks

Ah, Toronto! Good airport to connect through, very nice airport I think. Feels very modern and new, especially compared to T3 at LHR.

If you are on TripIt Pro, I would definitely set up mobile alerts, ie. SMS messages. I just had that for my vacation trip, and getting the text messages reminding you to check-in, how long until the flight leaves, connection information etc. was golden!

Thanks for the review. I just downloaded Tripit Pro and FlightTrack Pro (and Heathrow Pro for good measure) for my forthcoming Photoshop World trip. My itinerary takes me via connections in Toronto and Chicago so I have a lot of flights to keep on top of to make connections. Plus I have a couple of trips booked (Grand Canyon inc.) while I am away. These apps are just going to make life easier for me as long as I get a good wifi connection as roaming in US on a UK provider will probably cost the same as the flights ;o)
I'll let you know how I get on after the trip !
