Recommendations

As you know here at Best App Site we don't review just any old App. In order to make it here it has to be one of the BEST Apps on the App Store. We've seen and reviewed hundreds of great Apps in 2011, but now it's time to pick the BEST of the BEST! Erik Bernskiold, Jason Lykins and myself have narrowed down our favorites to provide this list of what we feel were the 100 BEST APPS of 2011!
BOOKS
Audible

I quite enjoy listening to the great audiobooks made by Audible and have been a subscriber for quite a while. Their app has a full audiobook store, allowing you to download new books without being at your computer. It also contains all your purchases and some fun stats of your listening habits.
Bobo Explores Light

Awesome interactive App to teach kids about light, it's different sources, it's history and more!
Princess Dress Up My Sticker Book

If your daughter loves the Disney princesses and also likes playing dress up, this is the App for her. Choose your Disney princess then dress and accessorize her!
The Monster at the end of the book

One of my Twins' favorite Apps. This is a digital take on a classic kids book starring furry, lovable Grover from sesame street.
BUSINESS
Adobe Connect Mobile

Does your company hold meetings online using Adobe Connect? If so you definitely want to get the iPad and iPhone app, allowing you to tune in to meetings from wherever you are without having to have your computer with you. Should you wish, you can also participate in the meeting right from the app.
Analytics HD
![]()
If you're a website owner you want to be able to keep track of your site's statistics. Google Analytics is the most popular analytics solution right now and Analytics HD lets you check your stats on your iPad (with an iPhone version available separately).
CardMunch

CardMunch allows you to take a picture of a business card and then upload it to a service that will convert it to text, proof read it and deliver it wirelessly back to the App. From there you can add it to your contacts. Amazing and it's FREE! No more typing, no more OCR errors.

If you just got your 1st iPhone, iPad or iPod touch then chances are you're looking for some great Apps to have. Although I have literally hundreds of Apps loaded on my iPhone and iPad, I do have a recommended list of "Must Have Apps". I'm keeping the list to 20 which means that there are still dozens that I would recommend, but don't want to overwhelm you with here. Stay tuned for our Top 100 Apps of 2011! In the meantime these are 20 Apps that you should look at sooner rather than later. In most cases the Apps I'm listing today are Universal Apps and therefore work natively on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch including taking advantage of the iPad screen size. However, there are some Apps that will work on iPad, but don't take advantage of the screen size. This being the case if the App is a Universal App I will put a (+) in front of the download link so that you know it works across all iOS devices. In no particular order:
Camera+

Camera+ (pictured above) is my favorite iPhone camera special effects App. You can not only snap photos with this App, but you can really create some very cool effects, including a nice HDR look and feel.
You can get Camera+ for $0.99 here from the
PS Express
![]()

Adobe Photoshop is the industry standard photo manipulation App. Photoshop Express allows for some basic editing beyond what's included in iOS 5 and a few special effects and borders as well. Best of all for the time being it's FREE.
+ You can get Photoshop Express for Free here from the
Snapseed

While Photoshop Express above does a fine job with basic edits and exposure adjustments, Snapseed is much more robust. Apple also named it iPad App of the Year for 2011. There are certainly more full featured editors out there, but Snapseed definitely has an easier interface than most and unique features that don't require any masking.
+ You can get Snapseed for $4.99 here from the
Taxi Magic

I travel for a living and therefore I use a large number of Apps in the Travel category. One of the coolest travel Apps is Taxi Magic. This location based App will show you the Taxi companies that service the area you're in and let you dial them directly. However, where the cool factor really shines is when you're in an area that supports "Direct Dispatch". When you're in one of these metropolitan areas you'll be able to book your taxi directly from the App, see when it's been dispatched, know the taxi cab number and driver's name as well as see where it is on the integrated map. Once your ride is over you'll be able to pay the fare directly from the App as well if you choose.
You can get Taxi Magic for Free here from the
Evernote

Evernote is the end all be all notes App for iOS that allows you to sync notes and documents with the cloud. While I'm not really an Evernote fan (the built-in Notes App with iCloud syncing serves me well), it's one of those Apps that If I don't list someone will say "how can you not list Evernote?"
+ You can get Evernote for Free here from the
Red Laser

Red Laser is an old favorite that keeps getting better. First off Red Laser lets you scan the barcodes on retail products that you're thinking of buying and show you the online prices for that item so that you can price compare on the spot. It also offers "Local" search so you can see if a nearby store has it cheaper. This latest version also has support for QR codes. Yes, this one App does it all and it's FREE. However, it's not a universal App, so if you're looking for a just a good QR scan App then I'd recommend "Scan" which is Universal.
You can get Red Laser for Free here from the
Twitter, Facebook, Google+ & Flipboard

If you're into social media then chances are you're going to want the native App for the social media network that you use the most. Therefore, I've listed the most popular ones. Flipboard gives you a visual view of your Facebook and Twitter timelines as well as great photos on the internet and RSS news feeds.

Delivery Status touch

I've been using Delivery Status touch to track packages on my iDevices for a long time. This App is great! You can track packages from all the major carriers simultaneously complete with push notifications and a built-in Map to see where your packages are. This latest version allows you to scan the tracking label for the items you're shipping to cut down on tedious data entry.
+ You can get Delivery Status Touch for $3.99 here from the
Flixster

Flixster is a great multi-purpose Movie and TV App. The main reason I use it is to see show times for my local theater as well as trailers. However, you can also use it to add DVDs to your Netflix queue and see which movies are coming to disc and when. Once you watch a movie you can rate/review it and automatically share that rating on your Facebook or Twitter stream.
+ You can get Flixster for Free here from the
Dropbox

Dropbox.com is my favorite cloud based storage service. With your FREE Dropbox account you can store up to 2GB's of data. The Free Dropbox App lets you easily access your files as well as share them. Also many Apps allow you to use Dropbox to back up and share data.
+ You can get Dropbox for Free here from the
Navigon

The Built-in Maps App is pretty cool, but it lacks voice turn-by-turn directions. There are a few good GPS Voice turn-by-turn Apps out there on the App Store, However, my top pick is Navigon. They offer a variety of different Apps depending on how much coverage you need in terms of driving territory. You can buy one just for your region or the entire country. The latest 2.0 version also allows you to just download the maps for the areas you're going to be in, which reduces the amount of storage space required significantly.
+ You can get the Navigon Apps (currently on Sale) starting at $19.99 here from the
PhotoSync

With the introduction of iCloud and Photostream Apple has made it a little easier to sync photos between your iOS devices and your computer. However, it's all or nothing at this point. If you prefer to send specific photos to specific devices, then Photosync is your answer. This App allows you to wirelessly send photos back and forth from your iOS devices and your computer. I use Photosync all the time!
+ You can get PhotoSync for $1.99 here from the
Flashlight.*

If you have an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s you've got a very bright LED flash that you can use to take photos/videos in low light situations. The Flashlight* App lets you turn on this light and use it as a Flashlight whenever you need it. There are several Flashlight Apps on the App Store, but this one is Free and works great!
You can get Flashlight.* for Free here from the
CardStar

I use CardStar all the time when I'm out and about. Not only do I have all my loyalty cards in it for easy scanning at most place, but I also put my frequent flier/frequent stay numbers in there too for easy access when I'm checking in for a flight or hotel.

ScannerPro

The camera on your iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s does a great job with photos, but it can also take pictures of documents, receipts, etc. However, rather than just having a photo of the document, many times I need a PDF and I need it to be cropped nicely to the document, deskewed and good quality. ScannerPro does all this for me including the ability to email the document or upload it to my Dropbox account. With this App I rarely use my desktop scanner anymore. It also handles multiple page documents.
You can get ScannerPro for $6.99 here from the
1Password Pro

Hopefully you're not one of those people that uses a single password for everything that you do because it's easy to remember it. The sad truth is that there are lots of people out there that have insecure passwords and use the same insecure (easy to remember) passwords for everything they do. I actually used to be one of those people and as identity theft cases began to rise, I decided that it was time to change my ways. Now I use 1Password both for my computer and my iDevices. This app keeps track of al my passwords for all my various accounts, websites, etc. and is secured by top level encryption. I enter the one master password and can easily look up any password I need. Also because it syncs with Dropbox, I can update passwords anywhere and they are sync'd everywhere. I couldn't imagine life without 1Password.
+ You can get 1Password Pro for $8.99 here from the
Skype

Your iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPad 2 and iPod touch (4th & 5th gen) device includes FaceTime for video chatting. While FaceTime is great and built-in, it only works over WiFi and only with other iOS devices or Macs. When I want to do video chatting over 3G or with other platforms such as Android or Windows, I prefer to use Skype. Skype is a well known App for making free Skype to Skype calls and now free video calls from Mobile Devices. Arguably the quality is not as good as FaceTime, but Skype will allow you to video chat when there is no WiFi hotspot available and with more people that don't have Apple gear.

Documents To Go Premium

Your iOS device can display many formats such as Word, Excel, PDF, etc., but it doesn't allow you to edit them natively. Apple sells Pages, Numbers and Keynote and they do allow editing of Word, Excel and Powerpoint files. However, if you're looking for a more direct way to create and edit MS Office documents, then Documents To Go is the App for you.
+ You can get Documents to Go Premium for $16.99 here from the
Pandora Radio

Having a built-in iPod in my iPhone and IPad is great, but there are times I want to listen to music that I don't necessary own yet. That's where Pandora Radio comes in. Unlike regular broadcast radio, Pandora Radio lets you create your own "radio stations" based on the artist or songs that you like. As you give songs thumbs up or thumbs down it gets better about playing the kind of music you like. I opted for a paid account to be completely commercial free. Pandora Radio can also stream to your AirPlay speakers.
+ You can get Pandora Radio for Free here from the
Angry Birds

I also can't create one of these lists without mentioning one of the most addictive games on the App Store. I have spent more hours than I care to admit playing Angry Birds and what I like most is that the developer constantly comes out with free updates adding more levels.

Here at Best App Site we regularly review and recommend the "Best" Apps on the App Store. The team thought it would be a good idea to give you some recommendations for some of the Best Apps for your New iPhone 4s. These recommendations are especially handy if this is your first iPhone.

CardStar

CardStar is an App that I use several times a week. It lets you store all of your frequent buyer club tags electronically on your iPhone. Once you arrive at the checkout line of say a CVS drugstore, just launch the App tap on your CVS card and the cashier can usually scan the barcode right on your iPhone. Also if you goto that location often you can even have CardStar remember it based on the Location and it will automatically bring up the right card.
Skype

Your iPhone 4s has a front facing camera and FaceTime. While I love the quality and integrated nature of FaceTime, I find that I don't use it as much as I would like to because it requires that both parties be on WiFi. If you're out and about and want to do a quick video chat and there is no WiFi you're out of luck. That's why I highly recommend Skype! Skype is universal, let's you talk and see other Skype users for Free, is great for making international calls to regular phone numbers and best of all it works over WiFi or 3G. You can of course Skype with people that using Skype on their computers or other platforms.
Reeder

Reeder is hands down my favorite RSS Reader for my daily news feeds. It syncs with my Google RSS feeds so that when I read a post on one device it's automatically marked read on all my other devices. Great sharing options built-in too.

Yes of course I have Direct Deposit when it comes to my paycheck. However, there are times where I get miscellaneous checks from others and of course these checks need to be deposited in my account. The problem had been making the time and effort to actually drive to the bank/ATM to make the deposit. The good news is that those days are now behind me. I can't remember the last time that I had to take a check to the bank. There are SEVERAL Apps offering this feature and it will vary by location and your financial institution. However, here are 3 that will let you get it done.
Chase Bank
Chase Bank was one of the first to offer this and as a matter of fact I ended up getting tired of waiting for my bank to offer it in their App that I opened up a Chase account just for this feature. The cool thing was that Chase even allowed me to open my account and complete everything via their website. To this day I have never been inside a branch!
You can get the Chase App for free here from the
PNC Bank
PNC Bank not long ago updated their App to allow deposits too. Like Chase you take a picture of the front and back of the check, enter the amount and account that you want it deposited to and you're done!
You can get the PNC Bank App for free here from the
PayPal
PayPal is not a bank, but it is synonymous with paying for products online. Now you can deposit checks into your PayPal account directly from your iPhone, iPad 2 or 4th gen iPod touch.

If your bank doesn't offer it, it may be time to apply more pressure to their customer service line. If not, it may be time to switch banks

A portfolio App for the iPad. Sounds like a no brainer right? However, It must be harder than it looks because I was stunned to see that there weren't really very many good options out there. Where most of the iPad portfolio apps fail is that they make it painfully difficult to get the images into the App to begin with. As a photographer, your portfolio is always evolving (or at least it should be). This means that you'll always have a new image to put in and an old one to remove. Yet most of the Apps in this category concentrate the bulk of their efforts on the presentation of the images and not so much on the ease of updating. Don't get me wrong, presentation of the images is the reason we're here talking about portfolio apps, but if I can't get my images in it to begin with then there isn't much to present
I looked at earlier versions of Xtrafolio and passed on doing a review. The goal of this site is to only review the "BEST" Apps and therefore we don't waste time with Apps that aren't the BEST or at least really good. At the request of the developer I decided to give Xtrafolio a second look and I'm happy to report that 99% of my initial gripes have been resolved.
Ease of getting the images in

Like I said, If I can't easily get images in/out of the App not much else matters. Xtrafolio now does a good job by offering several options for importing images. You can import via Dropbox (my preferred method and I'll tell you why in a minute). You can import via iTunes or from the images already on the iPad including those in the Camera Roll that you brought in from your camera via a card reader/connection kit. While I'm happy to see the Dropbox support I did encounter a bug with their implementation of it. My images are in a folder on my Dropbox and then in sub folders within that folder. However, for some reason every time I'd tap on that main folder it would show the contents of the folder directly above it. I finally just gave up because no amount of tapping would allow me to see the actual folder below. It's odd because it did highlight the correct folder, but it would always show the contents for the one above.
The reason that Dropbox support is key for me is that I use it in my Lightroom workflow. I use the Lightroom Hard Drive Publish Service feature to publish each of my portfolios to a folder on Dropbox. That way my portfolios are always up to date. For the purpose of the review I just decided to continue by using a gallery of images that were already on the iPad. Those images imported just fine. When you import images they sit within the App, but they are not accessible until you add them to a folder (Portfolio). I actually like this metaphor.
Arranging the images
Once you get your images in, you can arrange them into Categories and/or Folders. The folders are what really matters, but let's say you had a category of Travel, then you could have different folders for the places you went. Each Category/Folder can have its own settings. Also same image can be in more than one folder if you like. The settings include things like a Category/Folder Image to be displayed when at the main menu. You can choose whether or not the folder can play as a slideshow, transitions, and a song for the folder. You don't have to have a slideshow. As a matter of fact it's off by default. If you don't go with a slideshow then you'll simply swipe from image to image. Speaking of images you can create custom captions for each image. Yes, images can be resorted within the folders as well. This is probably one of the better implementations of this that i've seen.
More Options & Customization

You can choose to have a folder be visible or not visible. This could be used to keep some galleries from being seen by a different client. You can also passcode protect the App. At first I found the tap-both-sides-of-the-lower-right-corner-to-get-to-the-settings to be annoying, but now I really like it. When you launch the App you're taken to your Portfolios (folders) without anything else jumping out or standing in the way. This way you could hand someone your iPad and they could look at all of your visible portfolios without accidentally getting into the settings and screwing things up. Images can be shown in their full resolution if you choose that option for the Portfolio. This new version also supports showing PDFs.
Xfolio offers several options to customize the look and feel of the App to be more like the rest of your brand. You can even create your own startup screen for when you launch the App.
Room for Improvement

None of these portfolio apps are "perfect" but Xtrafolio has come a long way and could easily be the one I use with a few tweaks. With that said, there are a couple of things that need to be addressed. First and foremost is the Dropbox bug. Secondly the App did crash on me when I went to choose a song for a folder. However, once I got back in it was fine and I was able to use the song. So stability could be improved. Lastly and the thing that I haven't seen any of them do yet is give me the option to "SYNC" with folders on Dropbox. This way as long as my Dropbox folders are up to date, my Portfolio on my iPad would be up to date too! That would be the killer feature that would make me switch without a second thought.
The only other thing I'd like to see is that when I have a Portfolio (Folder) set to be a slideshow then it should just start playing when I tap that Portfolio. The way it works now, I still have to tap the Portfolio, then the first image, then the play button to start the show. Too many taps if I've setup the folder to be a slideshow with music. That's what I want it to do with one tap!
While the App does offer some nice options to customize the startup screen, it would be nice to see a preview of what its going to look like without having to leave the settings area and relaunch the app to see what you've done.
Lastly, how about some AirPlay love? It'd be cool to have the Portfolio play wirelessly via Apple TV 2.
The Bottom Line
Xtrafolio gets a lot of things right that the others don't. There are several customization features to make it look and feel more like a custom Portfolio App designed just for YOU. I would have no problem recommending this App to others.

The iPad is a wonderful device for showing off content. Photos look great on the iPad display. While the native Photos App is good in a pinch it's lacking several features that photographers want and need. The biggest problem with it is that everything has to be done on your computer in terms of sorting images and putting them in albums (Apple why is this a limit?) Jason reviewed Portfolio for iPad a while back and while I have looked at SEVERAL apps in this category since then, it remains the closest App by a mile to what we want and need. The rest of the Apps are horribly bad! Most get the presentation aspect right, but fail miserably at the simplest of tasks such as getting images into the darn thing to begin with. Most rely on the images being in your camera roll and even then it's a painstaking one-by-one import. There was one App that I never could figure out how to get the images in. I can't believe that it's that hard to make a decent Portfolio App for iPad. I figure it's mainly because the developers are engineers, not photographers or end users. To make it easier I decided to put together a list:
What we want
If you're an app developer reading this and you're thinking about creating a portfolio app or fixing yours, don't bother releasing one or an update unless you've nailed these requirements:
- Ease of getting images in and more importantly updating them
- Ability to reorder images in the galleries in the app
- Multiple Galleries – A MUST!
- Slideshows with nice transitions, perhaps Ken Burns Effect, pan, zoom
- Slideshows with music – A MUST!
- Slideshows with text – basic text features in the app
- Slideshows that can include video
- Ability to overlay the video over stills in the background
- Slideshows that start off with a logo or other default image
- Slideshows that sync to the length of the song
- Slideshow that you can sync to the beat
- Ability to put two images side-by-side during the slideshow
- Ability to pinch and zoom when not running a slideshow
- Hiding/Locking
- Client Review Features
The Bottom Line
While Portfolio for iPad does have many of these features, it doesn't have them all and like I said it's the closest one to being what we need today. Their latest update offers Password protection of galleries, Image rotation (manual/automatic), PDF Navigation Links that are active and the ability to change the background of exported PDFs. There is so much potential in this category! I hope to see more contenders.

When the first iPad was released, Steve Jobs went up on stage and touted that the iPad would be great for productivity, in many ways replacing a computer. Now a year later, Apple turned the focus from productivity onto games, an area that has been exploding with new apps. The iPad, however, is still a magnificent device to write on, especially using a bluetooth keyboard. In this post, I want to share with you five of my favorite apps for writing on the iPad.
Simplenote
First of the apps is Simplenote, my newly found note taking app. The beauty of this app, apart from that it syncs with the cloud and desktop, is that it is not just limited to notes. Because it has such an extensive way of searching and finding notes, I use it for most writing on the iPad when I just want a blank screen to fill with my words.

Pages
Along with the first iPad, Apple released the iWork suite for iPad. In here we find Pages, the mobile version of the great word processor found on the Mac. If formatting is important for you when you are writing on the iPad, definitely try out Pages, since it offers much of the functionality found on the Mac. The downside is that you need to setup your documents first and it doesn’t do many of them stored and sorting is a nightmare.

Today is the day that many 1st time iPhone users have been waiting for! Starting today you can walk into a Verizon Wireless Store or Apple Store and walk out with an iPhone running on Verizon's network. Since many of you will be first time iPhone users, I thought that I would put together this list of Must Have Apps. Make no mistake about it, with hundreds of thousands of great Apps on the App Store it is very very very very hard to limit a list to just 10. I took the approach of "which Apps do I use the most?" "Which Apps are not as obvious as others such as Facebook, Twitter, etc., that the user will go grab anyway?" "Which Apps would I first install on a new iPhone?" and lastly "Which apps provide functionality that's just simply not in one of the built-in Apps?" So in no particular order here's my list:
Reeder
I follow all my favorite sites via their RSS feeds. Unfortunately the iPhone doesn't have a built-in dedicated RSS reader App. Reeder is my new favorite RSS App. It syncs with my Google Reader account and this means that if read a story on my iPhone or my computer or my iPad it's marked as read so that I don't have to read it again on the other devices. Reeder has a nice clean UI (user interface).

Evernote

Although the iPhone has a built-in notes App it's pretty basic and doesn't offer FREE wireless syncing unless you have a supported IMAP account/Mac Mail, etc. I can't seem to make one of these must have lists without my readers telling me that it's incomplete unless I list Evernote. So here ya go
All jokes aside Evernote is a great App that allows you to sync notes wirelessly with your computer iPhone and computer. You can access the notes, photos, voice memos, etc. anywhere you have access to web browser as well.

Todo

I wouldn't be able to function without my To Do List. Sadly the iPhone doesn't have a to do list app built-in and while there are some great Todo list Apps out there (yes I have Things too
), my preference is Appigo's Todo. Todo has a simple interface with syncing capabilities to your computer and the cloud. I started using their cloud based service and love it. It allows me to manage my To Do's anywhere I have access to my iPhone, iPad or the web.

Adobe Photoshop Express

While the iPhone is equipped with a nice camera and decent photo management and sharing abilities, it doesn't have any built-in photo editing capabilities. There are tons of photo editing Apps for the iPhone. Adobe Photoshop Express provides most of the basic editing features with a clean touch interface that users will want and best of all it's FREE. You can share your edited photos on Facebook, Twitter, Email and Photoshop.com with background uploading.

Navigon MyRegion

The built-in Google Maps App is great! While it does give you directions from point A to point B, it doesn't give you turn-by-turn voice directions and it requires a data connection to work. Navigon MyRegion Apps provide you with true turn-by-turn voice directions and the built-in maps mean that you don't have to have a data connection to use the App. There are tons of great features in this App and the reason I'm recommending the MyRegion version is that most of us don't drive all over the whole country. These Apps are moderately priced for your particular region and if you ever need either of the other two regions you can add them on at any time via an in-app purchase.

Documents to Go Premium – Work with your MS Office documents

You can't mention the word "office" without Microsoft Office coming to mind. So let's start with ways of not only reading and editing your MS Office documents, but creating new ones from scratch. This is where Documents to Go Premium. You can work with and create Word, Excel and PowerPoint files right on your iPad. This App also makes it easy to share with others with its integration with Google Docs, Dropbox, Box.net and iDisk. The Premium version adds in Exchange & GMail Attachement support and two-way syncing from your desktop Mac/PC over WiFi. If you have to deal with Office documents, this is your App.

FileMaker Go – Complete Database Management

FileMaker Pro is an industry standard database application on both Mac and PC. I actually started my career as a FileMaker consultant many years ago. The desktop version has completely grown up now and offers the best in class for EASY database creation and powerful relational features. With FileMaker Go you don't have to leave that data behind. The latest version gives you all that you need to take your FileMaker Pro databases with you and update/add records on the go right on your iPad. You can even connect to your hosted FileMaker Pro databases over the internet.

Keynote – instead of Death by PowerPoint

I don't think anyone is a fan of sitting through hundreds of boring PowerPoint slides. However, slide presentations are the norm in business meetings. They also don't have to be boring! This is where Apple's Keynote comes in. You can create/edit Keynote presentations either on your Mac and sync them over to your iPad or right on your iPad with this App. You can also open up presentations created in MS PowerPoint and show them not only on your iPad, but connected directly to a projector via the iPad VGA adapter.

We spend a lot of time downloading, testing, and reviewing iTunes store Apps for you the reader. We know you look to us to provide you with the best Apps available. With that in mind we thought it would be natural that I share my top 3 must have Jailbroken Apps with you. We know that not all of you are interested in Jailbreaking your iPhone, but if adding non Apple approved Apps doesn’t scare you… Read on.
MyWi

This isn’t going to be a guide to Jailbreaking your iOS device; you can find a guide to that with a quick Google search. For me, MyWi was THE reason to Jailbreak my iPhone. MyWi allows you to turn your iPhone into a WiFi hotspot. With the release of the iPhone4, AT&T added the ability to tether your iPhone to your laptop, but they require USB. I bought a Wifi only iPad, and I want to use my iPhone to connect my iPad to the internet. MyWi lets me do that. Along with the benefits of turning your iPhone into a Wifi hotspot, you can use MyWi on your Jailbroken iPad to directly tether your Nikon DSLR to your iPad wirelessly as shown by the guys over at the Fstoppers here(http://fstoppers.com/ipad/). At $19.99 this App is on the high end for most people when it comes to App price, but it is worth every penny.
Infinifolders

How many “utilities” folders do you have? How about “games”? If you’re like most iOS4 users that I know, you have multiple folders with the same type of content in it. By design, the folders in iOS4 only allow for 12 apps per folder. So what do you do if you have more than 12 Apps that fit into that category? If you have a Jailbroken iOS device, you can add Infinifolders for free to your iOS device and have as many Apps contained in each folder as you would like. Infinifolders runs in the background, and there are no settings. It performs one task, but it performs that task really, really well which is why it is on my top3 list.
Five Icon Dock

Five Icon Dock is exactly what it sounds like. It allows you to add a 5th icon to the dock of your iPhone. Again, this App runs in the background like Infinifolders so you don’t have to set anything. You don’t have to adjust anything, all you have to do is select your 5th App that you would like in the dock and drag it down. This App is also free, but a must have.
Jailbreaking your iOS device
Some people don’t want to Jailbreak their device. Some people are completely happy with the Apps from the App Store, and that’s fine. If, however you’re like me and want to do something a little different and Jailbreak your iOS device, try out these three Apps. You won’t be disappointed.
