I don't get to live concerts very often and it's usually because by the time I find out one of my favorite artists is coming to town, it's too late to get good tickets. So when my buddy Scott turned me on to iConcertCal I had to take a look and see what this App had to offer? It's almost like magic. I know I shouldn't be surprised anymore by the ingenuity of some App developers, but every time I see an App like this I just smile and think, "how clever!"
iConcertCal knows who's coming to town
Chances are you have many if not all of your favorite artists in your iPhone or iPod touch. You probably have at least one song by each one if not several. iConcertCal scans all of your artists and then uses your location to present you with a list of upcoming concerts in your area (or area that you indicate) that feature your favorite groups. It's so automatic that you really don't have to do anything. You can even buy the tickets by taping the Tickets icon and it takes you to Ticketmaster and directly to the page featuring that particular concert.
What about the artists not in your iPhone?

It's very possible that you may have some artists in your iTunes library that you like, that you don't have songs in your iPhone/iPod from. This is usually due to space constraints of the device. After all you can only carry so much content right? So iConcertCal gives you the option of downloading and installing a plug-in for iTunes that will grab ALL of your artists and sync them over to the App via the cloud without taking up any additional space on your device.

Tap "Tickets" to buy the tickets right from the App (via a link to Ticketmaster in my case).
