Contract Maker Pro

As a photographer I deal with Model Releases on a regular basis. I'm very happy that I saw the end of my paper based releases in 2010. I now do them completely electronically and I couldn't be happier. Contract Maker Pro wins my top pick for being the most customizable in allowing not only photographers to create their exact release form, but ANY person that needs to create contracts of any type and have clients sign them right on their device. – Terry

This is the best Time Zone Utility that I've seen and it was one of my most used Apps of 2010. Not only can you view multiple time zones, but you can have the app pick the best time to have a meeting or conference call. Apple's Remote App continues to be one of my all time favorite Apps. This Universal App allows you to use your iDevice to control your iTunes library over WiFi or your Apple TV. Great functionality and still a BEST APP!

SlingPlayer Mobile for iPad

I have a love/hate relationship with Sling Media. I love their solution and what it lets me do. While this App is fantastic and works as advertised (that's why it's a Best App of 2010), I feel like Sling shouldn't try to sell Mobile Players for the hardware that you already bought. With that said, this App gives me what I've wanted since getting the iPad in April. It lets me stream content from my TiVo over the internet to my iPad. – Terry

Texts From Last Night

This App is a connection to the popular website of the same name. This App lets you read, moderate, and add funny texts that probably shouldn’t have been sent. While I was waiting for the TiVo App to come out, Comcast released a spectacular App for their DVRs. If you have a Comcast DVR the Xfinity TV app is a must have. You can schedule recording, get your guide and even remote control your DVRs over your network. Well done! – Terry

Chase Mobile

Chase mobile app allows me to access my bank information quickly and easily. Like many of the Apps here there are several choices on the App Store. I've used a few different tip calculators and was pretty happy with the one I was using. However, it wasn't native on the iPad. PayPal

PayPal is one of the easiest ways to pay for goods and get money from people that owe you :) Having the PayPal App on my iPhone lets me keep tabs on my account as well as do transactions on the spot with others via "bump". The big new thing in 2010 is that now you can take pictures of Checks and deposit them into your PayPal account directly. – Terry

GV Connect

As a Google Voice user it's very important to have access to my SMS messages and voice mail not to mention making Google Voice calls. Although Google did finally get their official App on the App Store, GV Connect is just so far ahead in terms of features and Google Voice support. Keynote

Keynote is already my favorite presentation App on the desktop and having an iPad version is awesome. I can create presentations on my Mac and deliver them directly from my iPad. I'm the designated keeper of the family tree in my family and I've used Reunion for Mac for over 10 years. In 2010 I was treated to the NEW Reunion for iPad that allows me to take all my family records onsite. I can do updates in the field and then sync them back to the desktop App when I return. DVR Remote

Until TiVo does officially release their App, DVR Remote is still my favorite remote control App for my TiVo DVRs. I can control any of my TiVos from anywhere on my network via WiFi. Great App with some really cool features. – Terry

iCam – Webcam Video Streaming

This is the BEST home video surveillance App on the App Store. With iCam I can watch anyone of my four Panasonic webcams (works with other cameras including iSight) from anywhere in the world. It even records motion in the room automatically and sends push notifications when something is moving. Fantastic App! – Terry

Presentation Clock

Every now and then you may feel like an App is perfect. In fact it may feel like it was written just for you. Well in this case, it's true! This App was written for me by Shawn Welch and he did an EXCELLENT job writing it to my exact specifications and of course implementing his own creativity with the UI. With Presentation Clock I can set up timers to keep my presentations on time complete with optional sounds and vibration warnings and most importantly the clock will go negative once I'm over time. – Terry

Using server level file conversion, Skyfire allows for Flash video playback across the entire iOS device platform. What I like about this App is the speed that files are converted, and the optimization for use over 3g. – Jason

Video Locker HD

This App has one simple purpose. It allows you to password protect your video/photo collection on your iPad from prying eyes. It keeps them in a separate place from the native photos and video apps on your iPad. Until iOS has multiple user support, this App is a must have where privacy is a concern.

Accu Weather for iPad

The iPad doesn't ship with a native weather App and while I've looked at several, Accu Weather for iPad is my top pick for 2010 as best iPad Weather App. It has all the features I want and a great looking UI. – Terry

Not caring about the weather can prove devastating (especially in rainy and cold season…). Weather Pro gives me the forecast for any number of cities for a full week and yes, its interface is very nice!
